Driving
The European road and Sweden's inland road E45, which runs from Sicily to Karesuando, passes through the heart of Arvidsjaur. Arvidsjaur is strategically located between several destinations and attractions and is an excellent starting point for various types of day trips. If you have an electric car, there are several charging stations in the municipality. See the map below.
Fly
You can fly from Stockholm to Arvidsjaur. There are daily return flights from Arlanda Airport (ARN) to Arvidsjaur Airport (AJR). The flight takes about two hours.
Airport shuttle
With the local taxi company TABCAB, you can easily get to and from Arvidsjaur airport. Flight taxis can be booked until 20.00 the day before departure and arrival. Local taxis are offered if needed.
Taxi
Tabcab or North Ride Taxi is available locally in Arvidsjaur. The latter have all-electric cars and gas hybrids. See their websites for booking.

Train
With a combined bus and train ticket, you can get to Arvidsjaur from all over Sweden. We recommend the night train from Gothenburg or Stockholm with a change to a bus in Jörn. Visitors travel conveniently and comfortably through the Swedish countryside on some of Europe's most modern trains with first and second class carriages. During longer journeys, berths and sleeping places are available and with a restaurant trolley.
Inlandsbanan
During the summer season, it is possible to get to Arvidsjaur with the Inlandsbanan, which runs from Kristinehamn in the south to Gällivare in the north. During the tour, the train stops at several places for lunch/dinner and to explore sights during the journey. The Inlandsbanan takes you to the most interesting places in a varied landscape through Sweden's interior.
